WASHINGTON, Apr 26 (PRIME) -- The U.S. will continue the policy of sanctions against Russia, spokesman for the Department of State Vedant Patel said late on Tuesday, when asked whether peace talks could one day replace sanctions pressure.
"And so, what the U.S. is going to do is continue to support our Ukrainian partners through humanitarian assistance, through security assistance, through energy assistance – and we’re going to continue to hold the Russian Federation accountable through the ways that we have done – through sanctions, through export controls," the official said.
